Fracture Bedpan – was designed with the immobile patient in mind. Fracture bedpans have a tapered end to improve the comfort and ease of placement for use. Indications: for toileting of a bedridden patient in a health care facility or at home. Can be used for both urinary and fecal discharge.
Instructions: Place the pan under the patient’s buttocks, placing your hand under the patient’s lower back for support. The end with the handle goes in the front and the flat end toward the back. If the patient cannot lift his buttocks off the bed then gently roll the patient to one side and slide the pan under the buttocks.
Care & Cleaning: Wash well with disinfectants. Single patient use.
